TV, film actors’ unions sever ties

unions representing shoot and telly actors will negotiate severally with producers in upcoming contract talks after cabinet members of the tv actors Bund voted saturday to sever a long-established agreement between the two guilds.

the vote by the room of the american federation of television and portable radio artists came hours in the past a convergence with the cloak actors guild and good three months before the conclusion of the condense covering movies and prime-time shows.

the 120,000-member screen actors guild represents actors in movies, tv and other media. the 70,000-member tv and radio federation represents, among others, actors, singers, announcers and journalists.

the alliance of bearing picture and television producers, which represents studios, said in a proclamation that it looks post to bargaining with aftra. it did not mention sag.
